Pip the Hoblin

Pip is a Hoblin a mysterious creature with mischievous Goblin ancestry. He was first spotted darting around the garden at 28 Kensington Road one evening as dusk fell.
He was playing a sleep-provoking tune on his reed pipes in an attempt to lull the birds and other wildlife to sleep. The owners of the garden can testify that Hoblins are rather accomplished musicians. They are also partial to mulled wine, but will only drink from the finest crystal drinking glass. Tempting treats of food were left on a platter outside the kitchen door each evening to encourage him to return, and he was a regular visitor to the garden for several months. Sadly, one evening Pip failed to return, and Grenville and Alan were so enchanted with this lively little fellow that they decided to have him immortalised in the form of a bronze statue.
The spider’s web was designed and made by the Bristol based artist and sculptor Julian P Warren.
Details of his work can be found on his website: www.metalgnu.com
